Women of Influence+ Opens the 32nd Annual RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards Call for Nominations

TORONTO, ON – JANUARY 22, 2024 RBC and Women of Influence+ are pleased to announce that nominations are now open for the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards. This year’s nomination campaign marks the 32nd year of the awards, which recognizes Canada’s most accomplished and impactful women entrepreneurs, whose successful businesses contribute significantly to the local, national, and global economy.

2023 marked the most successful year of the program with an unprecedented number of women entrepreneur applicants from across Canada. These entrepreneurs were nominated by their peers, colleagues, and communities for outstanding achievements in business and contributions to the Canadian economy. This year, we will continue to shine a spotlight on the women in our communities who are making their mark. A nomination is the first step.

“We’re seeing a growing force of women entrepreneurs who are redefining success, inspiring change and trailblazing industries with their leadership and innovation,” says Sue Noble, Vice President, Commercial Financial Services Strategy at RBC. “By launching the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Award program in partnership with Women of Influence+ again this year, we are proud to continue our efforts to recognize the potential and talents of these women and celebrate their inspirational stories of entrepreneurship.”

As one of the longest standing programs of its kind, the RBC Canadian Women Entrepreneur Awards has honoured hundreds of finalists and has presented 244 awards for outstanding entrepreneurial achievement since its inception. Each of these prestigious awards is tailored to recognize women from all sectors of the economy and at all stages of business growth. The categories include: Ones to Watch Award, Micro-Business Award, Start-Up Award, RBC Momentum Award, Social Change Award: Regional Impact, Social Change Award: National Impact, Innovation Award, and Excellence Award.

“For more than 30 years, this program has provided us with a powerful platform to celebrate the achievements of incredible entrepreneurs,” said Dr. Rumeet Billan, Owner and Chief Executive Officer, Women of Influence+. “We are calling on businesses, organizations, and our community to help us recognize the important and transformative work of women entrepreneurs across our country.”
