Debbie Travis’ Next Chapter: The Evolution of an Empire

Debbie Travis

With her innate talent for design coupled with her dry British wit, Debbie Travis is a household name and beloved television icon both here in Canada and around the world. Her career started in England as a fashion model and television producer before moving to Montreal at age 30 to marry a Canadian. The move was the catalyst for her first entrepreneurial endeavor – a painting and design business that subsequently became a market leader in the paint and finishing trend across North America.

Fast forward several years, and Debbie merged her two passions, design and television production, by producing one of North America’s first decorating shows, Debbie Travis’ Painted House. This ground breaking series was followed by several more internationally successful shows including Debbie Travis’ Facelift, From The Ground Up and All For One.

In 2016, Debbie decided it was time for the next chapter. She invested her heart and soul into restoring a ruin in Tuscany and transformed it into a luxury boutique hotel where like-minded women can experience the Tuscan lifestyle at her Girls’ Getaways. Here, on her 100 acre farm she produces an organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil and a variety of lavender products. The massive restoration project was filmed and La Dolce Debbie was born, a documentary series that premiered on the OWN Network in 2016.

Join us for the season premiere of the Women of Influence Luncheon Series on March 09th, to meet the charming and brilliant Debbie and hear her fascinating story of taking on the next chapter in her career.
