Paige Larson, President & CEO, North Shore Sports Medicine

Paige Larson is an award-winning businesswoman and nationally recognized sports physiotherapist whose impact on the community has led to more than Olympic gold medals.

Paige is the founder and owner of North Shore Sports Medicine. Since 1989, she has grown the business from a single physiotherapy clinic with two beds and two clinicians treating five patients a day to three multidisciplinary clinics with 23 beds and 17 clinicians treating more than 85 patients a day. Since 2006 her clinics have provided over 80,000 treatments. In 2010, Paige won the North Vancouver Chamber of Commerce Business Person of the Year Award for her clinic development and extensive volunteer efforts. In the past 25 years her clinics have helped more than 250 teams win local tournaments, Canada win gold medals, and North Vancouver grow into a Mecca for healthy lifestyles and elite athletes. Helping differently-abled athletes, Paige worked with the Canadian National Women’s Wheelchair basketball team for eight years, keeping them healthy as they won World titles every year during her involvement and with Canada’s Paralympic athletes for the 2000 through 2010 Paralympic Games. She also has provided physiotherapy for Skate Canada’s National Team for over 10 years. After earning a bachelor’s degree, Paige earned a degree in physical therapy from the University of Toronto, a diploma in sports physiotherapy, and certificates in manual and manipulative therapy, and acupuncture. With more than 25 years experience, she is in demand to treat challenging conditions, especially when other therapists have been unable to help a patient. Unwavering in her support for her staff, clinicians and community, Paige continues to grow North Shore Sports Medicine. As her clinics grow, they add more services, further increasing the number of patients and teams they positively impact, as well as making North Vancouver a healthier place to live. all finalists >
