For most, negotiating the acquisition of Famous Players, a deal that meant buying out your largest competitor making Cineplex the largest theatre exhibition company in Canada, would be a daunting task. For Anne Fitzgerald, it was an exciting opportunity. To top it all off, in the wake of the successful acquisition, Fitzgerald participated heavily in the development of the SCENE® Loyalty Program, the Metropolitan Opera alternative programming series and the Cineplex Store.
