PHOTO BY CHRISTOPHER WADSWORTH5 A.M. There aren’t many ‘typical’ days in Arlene’s life anymore!
On the days she is taping television shows or conducting interviews, she gets up at 5am. Other days, when she’s in the office, it’s 6am – after coffee, reviewing her calendar and getting dressed!

9 A.M. The next season of Dragons’ Den premieres on September 19th. Before each episode, Arlene gets her hair and makeup done in her loft – with of course, coffee first! Arlene is also co-hosting CBC’s The Big Decision, which premieres on September 18th.

1 P.M. Back at Venture Communications, Arlene deeply values the collaborative input of her team; here Linda North, Jason Sweeney and Christina Herancourt chat about a creative idea that had been developed for a client.

6 P.M. At the National Defence Headquarters in Ottawa, Arlene was recently named an Honourary Naval Captain by the Canadian Forces. Honourary Naval Captains represent diverse areas of Canadian society from politics and business to journalism and the arts. They bring with them unique skills and connections that help to strengthen the navy’s ties to Canadian communities. With her South-African/ Canadian background, Arlene is no doubt an incredible contribution.
