Penny Green, CEO, Bacchus Law Corporation, Chairman of the Board, Highbury Energy Inc.

I have had a passion for business since childhood, and held over 30 jobs as a teenager. Paper routes at 10 were followed by a job at Chuck E. Cheese at 14.  Every place was an opportunity to learn how businesses work.

I started my first business at 24 and my law firm at 26.   Over the past two decades, I have been continuously active in starting, financing, operating, selling and advising hundreds of businesses.

As the CEO of Bacchus Law Corporation, I currently lead a team of 15, and we work passionately to help companies get funding and grow.  My greatest quality is my ability to identify people with talent and enthusiasm. The most rewarding part of my job is working as a team to grow an entrepreneur’s vision to reality.

Now, as a mother of three, my time is precious and I must be selective about which companies I support and start.   I choose projects based on the management team and the overall strategy.  The most successful and promising companies I have built have been in legal services, pharmaceuticals and technology.

It takes grit to be an entrepreneur in tough economic times.  I have overcome obstacles head on and through the development of strong networks in the business community and personally.  Also, I have responded quickly to changes in demand, sometimes by growing at a fast pace.

I’m proud of the team that I have developed to work with me in my businesses over the past few decades.   The real value in what I’ve accomplished is the talented people that I have identified, inspired and guided.   I’m very excited about what the next few decades hold for the businesses that I now own or work with and the ones still yet to be created.
