Michèle Boisvert, President & Owner, Homeocan Inc.

Michèle Boisvert, a pioneer and leader in Homeopathy.

Michèle Boisvert is a licensed pharmacist from University of Montreal and was one of the first women to own a drugstore in Quebec.

She started looking into the benefits of Homeopathy in the 1970s, seeking a natural alternative to allopathic medicine to provide to patients. Michèle Boisvert went on to study Homeopathy in Europe where she obtained her degree in Homeopathy from the Mosane School, in Belgium. Upon her return to Canada, she began introducing Homeopathy in her own pharmacy, becoming the first Canadian pharmacist to offer homeopathic remedies.

In 1987, Michèle Boisvert decided to start manufacturing her own products; she set up a dilution center and became the founder and President of Homeocan Inc.

She has authored several books on the subject of Homeopathy and is often called upon as a speaker at various seminars and conferences.

In addition to her pharmacy studies, Michèle Boisvert follows classical music classes and obtains a bachelor degree in piano. Boisvert stayed involved in the music and the arts by joining the Boards of Director of the Orford Arts Center and the I Musici de Montréal Orchestra. Homeocan has also been sponsoring the Montreal Symphony Orchestra for three seasons. Michèle Boisvert is actively involved in volunteer work: she has participated in numerous fundraisers for the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Jean Lapointe Foundation and the Federation of Little Brothers of the Poor.

In 2005, Michèle Boisvert was awarded with the title of “Pharmaciens de Coeur et d’action”, an award given by the Quebec Pharmacy Board for a pharmacist innovating in a category. She was also featured in the magazine “First in Business” in 2008.

Today, Homeocan serves 10,000 customers in 13 countries. Her goal is to continue growth in Canada and in the US by developing new products and educating more people about Homeopathy. She is not ready to slow down yet: “It is my passion! The word “retirement” isn’t in my vocabulary!”
