2012 CWEA Finalist: Jodi Glover

Jodi Glover, CEO & Co-Founder, Real Tech Inc.

Jodi Glover is the CEO and Co-Founder of Real Tech Inc., an award winning company that has developed an innovative, patented product line of real-time water quality monitoring solutions. Jodi’s drive, vision and passion has resulted in Real Tech’s many successes from being socially responsible to achieving sales into more than 35 countries around the world and receiving numerous awards including the Deloitte Technology Green 15 award for the last three consecutive years.

Jodi Glover has had a strong entrepreneurial spirit from a young age, receiving a Young Entrepreneur Award from the Ontario government for her first clean technology venture, a solar heating company. She is a graduate from McMaster University’s prestigious business program and has gained excellent experience working as a Small Business Manager for Scotiabank. At only 33, Jodi has persevered in the face of adversity, accumulating a decade of water industry experience and achieving international success in a predominantly male industry.

Jodi is the proud mother of two young boys, one of which has special needs, giving Jodi a unique perspective on the value of life which has helped her in her role as a CEO. With only a few days maternity leave for both children, Jodi had to learn to adapt quickly and balance her passions for her business and family, she accomplished this through hard work, effective time management skills and pure determination.

As an active volunteer, Jodi keeps involved with charity and community work, including participating on Durham College’s Water Quality Advisory Board. Jodi also ensures her company’s support for non-profit organizations both local and international.
