[woitab title=”Kiely Maclean Biography”]
Kiely Maclean is co-founder, President and CEO of RJ Maclean Tank Services; a three-year-old innovation company focused on challenging the status quo in Energy with unique automated technology. Storage tank cleaning is required throughout the oil and gas industry in hydrocarbon production, transportation or refinement. This routine maintenance function is one of the greatest risks for human exposure in the industry. RJ Maclean uses robotics instead of people to clean tanks, thereby challenging the status quo for traditional oil and gas industry protocol. RJM also incorporates environmental processes/equipment to minimize waste, recycle and reuse water as well as minimize hazardous gas, carbon footprint.
The RJ method requires stakeholders reassess not only traditional oilfield service processes, but industry methods as a whole. In energy, there is significant focus on improving industry safety of working conditions and environmental consciousness. RJ Maclean has demonstrated that the environmental impacts in the Energy Sector can be reduced, while improving the client’s bottom line. RJ Maclean is, by design, an industry disruptor; as it challenges other industry players to adopt innovative practises that achieve similar results in changing the status quo.
Kiely has a BBA, International Business Diploma and a Master’s in Project Management. She is the recipient of the Young Women in Energy Award, recognized as top 35 under 35 and recently winner of the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award in Canada. RJ has been recognized as one of the top 25 innovators of the year in Alberta Oil and Alberta Venture Magazine. Kiely has spoken at the Global Petroleum Club, Bay Street Bull Women in Leadership panels, and is a member of the MacKay CEO forum.
