Susannah Pierce is Vice President of Shell Canada and External Affairs Director of LNG Canada – a joint venture of Shell, PetroChina, Mitsubishi and Korea Gas – which proposes to build BC’s largest LNG export facility. In this capacity, Susannah is responsible for leading the Environmental, Regulatory, First Nations and External Affairs functions for the project.

Prior to this position, Susannah served as Vice President, Value Chain Integration, Shell Canada. In this capacity, she was responsible for identifying and driving commercial opportunities along the value chain between Shell’s multiple businesses in Canada.  Prior to this position, Susannah was Vice President, Communications, Upstream International based in The Hague. In this position, she oversaw a communications team of approximately 200 professionals in Asia, Australia, the Middle East, Africa, Russia/CIS and Europe. Before joining Shell in 2009, Susannah was head of US Public Sector Affairs for TransCanada Pipelines based in Washington, DC and New York City.

Susannah has a Masters from the Johns Hopkins School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC and a B.A from The George Washington University, also in Washington, D.C.  Born in Saskatchewan, raised in Alberta, and living the balance of her life in the US and Europe, Susannah now considers BC to be home for the long term along with her two children – Gabriela and R.T., ages 7 and 9 respectively.
