Meet Debbie Fung
Co-Founder of Yoga Tree Studios

Debbie Fung is the co-founder of Yoga Tree Studios, Toronto’s premier studio offering over 2,000 yoga classes a month. Debbie’s vision was to create a yoga community, which offered classes accessible to practitioners of all levels, while openly embracing and acknowledging the different benefits from the array of yoga lineages.

Since 2007, Yoga Tree has grown from being one studio located in Thornhill, Ontario to five locations across the Greater Toronto Area, including studios in Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Midtown and Downtown Toronto.

Debbie has been recognized for the third consecutive year (2014-2016) as one of "Canada's Top 100 Female Entrepreneurs" in Canadian Business Magazine Annual W100 list. She is also the recipient for 2016 Canada's Next Top Entrepreneur Award presented by KPMG & Ivey School of Business. She has been active in the Toronto community promoting startups and female entrepreneurship and has been a guest speaker at Ivey School of Business, Rotman Commerce, University of Waterloo and City of Toronto Small Business Forum.

Yoga Tree Studios is also listed for the 4th consecutive year (2016-2019) on GROWTH 500, a ranking of Canada’s Fastest-Growing Companies by Canadian Business magazine. Debbie's growth journey is also featured in Stacey Kravetz's newest book SHE'S SO BOSS available on Amazon, Chapters and Barnes & Nobles.

About the Series

In the midst of this unprecedented COVID climate, Women of Influence and presenting sponsors BDC & Cisco are travelling (virtually) from coast to coast to tap into the first-hand perspectives, guidance, and key insights of Canada’s leading entrepreneurs.

CTV News Anchor Marcia MacMillan will sit down with business owners of varying sizes, industries, and stages of growth who will share how they are managing — both personally and professionally — and what strategies they are using to survive in their respective fields (and how others can do the same). Connecting via the Cisco Webex platform, the Women of Influence community will have the opportunity to ask direct questions about similar business issues they are facing.
