Focus, Ask and Trust

One of my favourite proverbs is “Significant things come from small steps”

As an entrepreneur, it’s easy to get overwhelmed juggling all of the emotions that fuel dreams and spark from the myriad of operational tasks that need to get done on any given day. As much as it would be great to live in the ethereal, the truth of the matter is joy in life lies in the thrill of the chase and making things happen.  One thing I know for sure is that in order for dreams to have a remote chance of becoming reality, you gotta take action. Often people get stuck with not knowing where to start or by over thinking how to start. The best thing to do if you find your self in this predicament is to just do it.

I’m a true believer that the best way to learn to swim is to jump in and trust your inherent survival instincts. I have found this is true of most things in life. I’m constantly reminding myself to trust and not to over think matters. The problem with over thinking is it gives way to fear based analysis, which injects doubt. Conviction and certainty is the best fuel for driving dreams forward, trusting actions and learning that true perfection has to be imperfect first. The richest outcomes are only so because of the actions taken to get there.

In speaking with many female entrepreneurs over the past few months, Sheena and I have learnt that those who have been most successful don’t live in theory, they take action and they have the following in common:

1. THEY FOCUS  …successful women prioritize & schedule time for everything that needs to get done.  They learn to master one thing at a time in order to accomplish everything else.

2. THEY ASK …successful women are not afraid to ask for help. If you don’t ask you don’t get. People love to help—let them.

3. THEY TRUST …successful women stay true to their intuition and take risks. They know they can’t fail, they can only learn and keep improving. They check in every day with their vision and focus on the next logical thing, trusting it’s what they need to do.

What steps are you taking everyday to live your dreams?
