Wear It To Work: Feminine Florals

By Kim Appelt, Celebrity Stylist, Style by Kim XO

If you’re a fan of all things feminine, you’ll appreciate that satin is the finish of the season, and crisp, pastel pink is still all over the runways. Pair the two to give your typical work uniform a breath of fresh Spring air.

And if your office is a conservative sea of navy blue, black and gray — this is where you implement the “Rule of One.” Pick one of your favourite styles or colours and use it in your look. There are some great neutral sweaters with frills, and beautiful structured floral shirts. Keeping everything else neutral will allow your feminine spirit to shine while still showing you’re serious about your job.

Embroidery is still big for spring, and paired with satin you’ll be totally on trend. This tailored jacket makes a statement that can work as well with jeans as it does with dress pants.
